Since the ceilings in this hallway are not a full eight feet, I wanted to keep it light. New steps inlaid with pavers graciously lead guests to a custom mahogany door with leaded-glass sidelights that invite light into the home. Clearing out the overgrowth of shrubs, adding plants for shade, and building an entryway bump-out with a peaking portico over the front door gave this home much-needed dimension and personality.
